CANCELLED CONTRACT 100 BIKE CONTEMPORARY CYCLE HUB NOW AVAILABLE

It’s a first for us here at H-B Designs as we have never had a contract cancelled before, but this could be a fantastic opportunity for another site to acquire a best in class, contemporary cycle hub at a bargain price.

Perfect for University sites, schools, hospital, public space, corporate premises, factories, in fact any location that wants to provide shelter and cycle parking.

The original contract was a contemporary style cycle hub for placement in the urban realm with cycle parking for any bike type at the Police Prefered Secured by Design standard.

The structures are hybrid steel and wooden construction, made here in our workshop from treated Douglas Fir timber and galvanised steel components. Beneath the compliant structures, are 100 Cycle-street, Sold Secure Standard, bicycle parking units.

Design Benefits

  • High-density compliant spacing = Increased capacity = More cycles parked in allocated space

  • High-quality one level Cycle Parking = Individual cycle spaces = Easy ergonomics = Proven reduced theft rates

Structure Benefits

  • A resilient roof above simple hybrid construction = Open sightlines = Increased safety

  • Integrated rainwater gutter = Control flow of roof rainwater through the frame

  • Smart Material Choices = 4R Compliant (Relocate, Renovate, Recycle, Reuse)

  • Optimal Cost Construction = DiM (Durable, Identifiable, Movable)

This cycle hub covers 136m sq but could be reconfigured to be two smaller 50 bike parking hubs. We will consider separating the structures from the cycle parking if need be so If you simply want a walkway, canopy or shelter; or if you want to convert a car parking bay into an eco-friendly cycle parking place, get in touch.

Please ask us about the possibility of installing this project at your site and the likely capital costs.
